Happy New Year! 2016 Intentions

New Year, New Intention: Embrace

At Soapwalla, our intention, our focus for 2016 is to take time each day to embrace what makes us the happiest. There is no perfect time to start those French lessons. There is no ideal month to tackle that home improvement project. We're not waiting until a three day weekend to go for a hike or call a beloved friend. And we're not going to wait until it's our birthday to take a nice long soak in the tub. This year is about embracing our personal happiness so that we can be our best selves for our friends, family and community. We are grateful that we get to share our passion with the Soapwalla community for another trip around the sun.

Golden Milk

Golden Milk is powerful and healing year-round beverage. Turmeric is the star ingredient and is one of Ayurveda’s most revered roots. Golden Milk packs serious inflammation-reducing properties due to the curcumin. It is also great for alleviating joint and muscle pain. Turmeric purifies the blood, clears the skin, heals reproductive organs, and balances blood sugar. (Source"Many of the healing of benefits of turmeric have been attributed to curcumin, a group of antioxidant compounds found in the rhizome. Although curcumin is available as a standardized extract, the whole herb may be more beneficial for you than the curcumin extract: Only very small amounts of curcumin are absorbed into the bloodstream. Turmeric as a whole herb stays in the digestive tract longer than curcumin, releasing antioxidant curcumin along with other beneficial substances." Mountain Rose Herbs
