Last month, Soapwalla rounded out our long and fun summer at the first Indie Beauty Expo held in NYC at the iconic Altman Building. It was so much fun to celebrate the Indie Beauty industry with amazing brands and beauty insiders. It got our travel lust going and Rachel is heading to Europe this weekend to host some very coolbeauty + skincare events. If you're going to be in Europe late September scroll down for more info on our beauty events in Amsterdam, Paris and more!!!
DIY Powdered Face Cleanser
1 tsp clay (kaolin or french green clay for dry/sensitive skin; rhassoul clay for oily/overactive skin)
2 tsp oat flour
powdered dried calendula flowers or lavender buds (optional)
2 Tbs hydrosol that is best suited for your skin type
Mix all dry ingredients into a dark container. Tighten lid, shake well, and store in a cool dry place. Will last up to a year.
To make the face cleanser: pour a quarter sized amount of the mixed dry powders into the palm of your hand or a small bowl. Add enough hydrosol to make a runny paste. Gently apply to face, neck and décolleté in gentle, sweeping motions. Remove with tepid water (you can use a soft washcloth for gentle exfoliation). Follow with a spritz of your favorite Toning Mist and Restorative Face Serum. Use all mixed facial cleanser immediately (refrigerate extra for up to 12 hours).
